Greetings to all those who for some strange reason went to read this site.

My name is Vlad and I'm the editor of this journal. I'm a journalist but also a person who is very interested in philosophy in general and German pessimistic thinkers (I prefer to call them realists) in particular. In this journal, I post some philosophical thoughts on different issues related to the main theme, translations of other writers, interviews, reviews and more.

What does Mensch mean? The German word Mensch means a human being, a person of integrity and honor with intellectual honesty. The key to being 'a real mensch' is nothing less than character, rectitude, dignity, responsible, decorous. The term is also implying the rarity and value of that individual's qualities.
