On the blue sea waves they dance,
the spirits of light, joyful of its silver;
long-lived plants, clear and bright,
shinning with glittering sparks.
My whole joyful heart
sings happily. I hug you, human genius
in conflict, the unique force,
the sacred reason.
Your clarity has saved us all from primal savagery
by braking human animality; and then
you showed a path; the way
to land of real liberation.
The mass wakes up so slowly. Its rude senses cling
to even smallest pleasure, until they are the dust
and ashes. Like veiled by the mist, they lie away
from ultimate levels.
From those calling you to love your neighbor
and any other human chest,
and to become a childless one.
Don’t abandon us, reason,
Our unique and faithful friend!
You lead us all to land of noble freedom,
to sweet non-being, to the peace,
and nightingale will sing a song
at our ultimate location, on the grave.
You all will listen to the happy song
of the return to calm, serene night: Oh, God!
Sea waves so wide and smooth like children,
they hug the shore in the absolute joy;
they kiss it, taking to the thousands of spheres
the picture of setting sun;
while the spirits’ light gild kindly
peaceful, quiet, and tranquil treetops.
